Your New Favorite Way to do Continued Education
Earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs) or TSHA CEUs by listening to podcast episodes and taking a short quiz. You will earn a certificate that you may submit to ASHA for your CCC maintenance hours. ASHA accepts PDHs for all 30 hours to maintain your CCCs. These courses are also approved TSHA (Texas) CEUs. Check your state’s standards to make sure PDHs can be used for your state licensure requirements.

Can I use Pep Talk Podcast CE courses to earn my required continuing education hours for my ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)?
Yes, all the Pep Talk Podcast for SLPs episode courses meet all requirements for professional development hours accepted by ASHA. They are also offered for TSHA (Texas) continuing education credit. TSHA continuing education (CE) hours can be used toward renewal of your Texas license (and other states too) and as professional development activities for the maintenance of your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The Pep Talk Podcast for SLPs podcast episode courses have been planned and implemented in accordance with the policies of the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). TSHA is accredited by the ASHA CEB to provide continuing education for speech-language pathologists and audiologists. These are not ASHA CEUs and are not sent to your ASHA CEU registry or count towards the ACE award.
Can I use Pep Talk Podcast CE courses to fulfill my state license renewal requirements?
Most likely! If you live in Texas, YES! If you live in another state, double check with your specific state requirements to ensure there are no additional requirements. Most states will accept Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association (TSHA) CE hours.
How do I earn continuing education credit?
Listen to a Pep Talk Podcast episode course (on this website or wherever you like to listen to podcasts), purchase the quiz, make a passing score on the quiz and earn your CEU/PDH certificate. The certificate will be stored in your account for easy access and will also be emailed to you. You may print or save digitally to submit to ASHA or your state if needed . If you are a Texas resident and are a member of TSHA, you can select to have your TSHA CEU sent to the TSHA CEU registry.
Do I have to purchase and take the quiz to get credit?
Yes, ASHA requires that CE courses take attendance and the participant receives a certificate of completion with appropriate documentation.
