About Pep Talk Podcast for SLPs
A Podcast created by Michelle Andrews M.S. CCC-SLP to educate, entertain, and take care of your required continued education-all in one.
Hi! I’m Michelle and I am a speech-language pathologist from Texas. I am married to my college sweetheart and we have 3 kids. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with my masters in 2014. My CFY year was spent in the schools but then I realized how much I loved working at a private clinic. I spent most of my SLP career at a pediatric clinic that I loved. After I had a couple babies, I switched to home health for the schedule flexibility. I enjoyed that as well. When speech therapy went virtual, I started to create my own digital speech therapy materials. My side gig grew and I fell in love with working alongside SLPs in creating therapy materials for them to use. I then discovered my passion for education. Speech pathology is ever evolving in new ways of doing therapy and furthering research. I have been seeking out SLPs in our field who have new or in depth knowledge to share with you wherever you are. I hope that my podcast can feel like a mentor or friend helping you be the best SLP you can be.
